When was the last time you awoke to what you thought would be a very normal, ho-hum kind of day....and?

...and it turned out to be a very special/strange/non-normal/unforgettable day. If you have 9/11 in mind, OK, but we all know how that day went down in history. I'm looking for something more individual and "under the radar" that you'd like to share. It could be a totally unexpected positive, uplifting event or something that was disastrous. Or, maybe something that was neither negative or positive in and of itself, but was highly significant in a unique way.
