Can I Change My Music to this MP3 Player?

So I currently have an iPod, but have become unsatisfied with the company and their support, and I want to get another MP3 player, but I'm not sure what music program it will allow me to use. Most likely Windows Media Player. Is it possible to move my music files downloaded from the iTunes music store into WMP?
