I'm confused, anybody know why? About Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets?

Hermione had a brother and sister relationship with Harry that I SO wanted to be a love relationship but oh well. She was more comfortable running to Harry and felt more relaxed around him and was able to be herself. She kinda had a thing for Ron but at the beginning their friendship was rocky let alone a dating relationship those feelings probably kicked in later once they got ped the dreaded third year.
