How can I stay safe while on Acid?

I was on a acid trip with a friend about a week ago and got arrested. It was my first time and was really fun. But we got arrested because I was caught fighting a cut-out off Darth Vader at Walmart and the cops had to arrest us. So how can I maintain Control on Acid? And another thing, I heard a friend of my friends died on acid because He jumped off a building...How can I prevent things like this?
