Is Islam compatible with American culture?

You have yourself answered the question by saying that nothing is wrong with Islam but its wrong with the culture of certain muslims. Its true. Islam is a very good religion but consists of some followers who are really bad. This is not an exception for Islam only but its true to all religions. There are radicals in all religions but the proportion of radicals is a bit more in case of Muslims. Things have to change. In most of the lesser educated societies among muslims its true that the message of Islam is twisted in favour of men and against women unfortunately.This has been the case due to the very low percentage of education among the muslim women of Asia in general. Such things will continue so long as muslim men don't try to understand the message of the Holy Quran in right perspective and the muslim women do not learn to ert themselves more; which is possible only through education. This welcome change in muslims is very rapidly taking place in my own country India. Insha Allah things will change for the whole world.
