Should I have to pitch in with housework if my wife has no job and we have no kids?
In general, my attitude is that if a woman (or man-works both ways) does not have a job outside the home, keeping the home IS her job. That does not mean I think the husband should feel free to come home and leave a trail of debris everywhere he goes and expect his wife to pick up after him, but if he brings in all the money, he shouldn't have to pitch in with housework as well. There is a reason it's called being a "housewife". If I was married to a man who supported me, and I didn't have to work outside the home, you bet your as* the house would be clean when he got home, and dinner cooked too! Come on, how many hours a day does it take to keep a house clean that's already in pretty good shape? She should still have plenty of time for her own activities as well.
